Is this a full-time commitment?
No. The fellowship meets once per week on Sundays for 2 hours. The only work outside of meeting times is completing the assigned readings for the next session.
Is there an application fee?
No. The Compass program is offered at no cost to participants. There are no fees associated with applying or participating in the program.
When does the program start?
The fellowship runs for eight weeks from September 27th through November 15th.
Who should apply?
Compass welcomes any Clark University student from all academic majors interested in agriculture, food policy, ethical food systems, and related fields.. While no prior experience is required, candidates should demonstrate genuine interest in exploring complex issues and value diversity of thought. We value unique academic perspectives and enthusiastic engagement with these critical issues.
Is remote participation allowed?
All fellowship sessions are conducted in person. Physical attendance is required for weekly meetings.
Can international or graduate students apply?
Yes, this fellowship welcomes applications from all Clark University students.
